Central High student and teacher receive national recognition

Four adults stand in a classroom as two women hold up a large novelty check for 6,000 dollars.
The Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes recognized Central High graduate Noah Make and Social Studies teacher Aaron Kruger in its 2026 Discovery Award competition. Make won the $6,000 Grand Prize for his documentary, Armin T. Wegner Against the Silence, while Kruger received the $1,000 Outstanding Educator Award.

Central High also had two additional semi-finalists in the competition, Ellie Leinart and Abdullah Kahn, along with many others who received certificates of achievement for their outstanding projects.

Awards were presented by Lowell Milken Executive Director Norm Conard during a school ceremony. Make is currently a freshman at Drexel University in Philadelphia and was notified via FaceTime.
