Iyla Scritchfield, a senior at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Sept. 21. 

Scritchfield excels academically at Triumph and sets an example of what it means to be a Spartan. She treats her peers with dignity and respect.

Scritchfield is vice president of the Triumph SkillsUSA chapter and a member of the catering team. This past year, she represented Wyoming in the customer service division at the National SkillsUSA competition. 

Scritchfield is known as a friend and leader among her peers. She is the first one to help without hesitation and goes above and beyond. 

Scritchfield selected culinary teacher Vonna Webb as her favorite teacher because she enjoys cooking and learning about culinary practices. She has been Webb’s teacher’s assistant for two years and has taken every class Webb offers. 

“She is my right-hand gal when it comes to catering prep and keeping our Spartan Café running,” Webb said.
