April 20—Liam Escobedo

Liam Escobedo, a seventh grade student at Carey Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 20.
Escobedo was selected for his incredible effort and positive attitude toward learning, consistently working to implement and use every skill that he is taught to grow.
“Liam is an amazing student that has grown by leaps and bounds,” Carey Principal Matt Schlaegel said.
Escobedo has stellar attendance, works hard in every class and is respectful to all staff and students. He participates in all activities and is known for thinking outside of the box and offering unique perspectives and creative thoughts.
He also has a great sense of humor and works to make those around him happy.
Escobedo selected April Mainter as his favorite teacher because she is kind and teaches him things that are helpful. “She always has a smile and teaches me things that are helpful,” Escobedo said.
