March 30—Hayley Morton

Hayley Morton, an eighth grade student at Johnson Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 30.
Morton was selected based on her academics, attendance, involvement in activities and overall success at school. She has excellent attendance and is known for leading by example as a model Firebird.
Morton is a member of National Junior Honor Society and enjoys math and art. She also participates in track and volleyball.
“She always has a smile on her face and a nice thing to say for all,” Johnson principal Aaron Moon said.
Morton selected Ken Johnson as her favorite teacher because he encourages students to work hard, supports self-advocacy, and makes history fun.
