STUDENT OF THE WEEK 2022-2023
Abigail Hoard, who is an 11th grade student at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 22.
She was nominated by the selection committee for being kind to students in all grades and in all areas. She is an excellent role model and has genuine heart toward others.
Hoard is very involved in the National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, FFA and DECA.
She loves to show sheep and ride horses.
Her favorite teacher is Thomas Cress because he is supportive, funny and easy to talk to.
May 15 - Eliana Pacheco
Eliana Pacheco, who is an eighth grader at Johnson Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 15.
She was nominated by the selection committee for working hard to represent her family and school positively in all aspects of her life. Pacheco maintains good grades and is a kind and genuine person with an infectious smile.
She has also been involved in soccer club for nine years. In her spare time, Pacheco supports her church by assisting in community projects.
Pacheco wants to start her own business as a cosmetologist. She is already looking at schools to achieve this dream after high school.
Her favorite teacher is Dashay Hunt because he pushes her to do her best and is a supportive and caring teacher.
May 8 - Suzette Mejia
Suzette Mejia, who is a senior at East High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 8.
According to the members of the selection committee, she was nominated because she is a positive influence and contributing participant in every class and treats her peers with respect and kindness.
Meija is an IB diploma candidate.
During her time at East, Mejia has participated in Skills USA, Interact Club, Speech and Debate, National Honor Society, and the Multicultural Student Union Club.
She is planning to attend Rice University in the fall and has multiple scholarships including Quest Bridge and the Gates Scholarship. She will major in biochemistry.
Her favorite teacher is Matthew Prevedel because he pushes her to think deeper and helps her with college processes and scholarships.
May 1 - Rhett Hussey
Rhett Hussey, who is an eighth grade student at McCormick Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 1.
He was nominated by the selection committee because he is kind, respectful and always gives his best. He is a leader among his peers and is a model student.
Hussey always challenges himself, setting high goals and achieving them. He enjoys video games, working on his car with his dad and making new friends.
Hussey hopes to pursue a career in engineering.
His favorite teacher is Matt Owen because he makes his class engaging and fun.
April 24 - Destiney Montoya
Destiney Montoya, who is an 11th grade student at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 24.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is a kind-hearted, empathetic hard worker who strives to do her best.
Montoya has a love for music and is learning to play the piano. Her work ethic has helped her compose her own songs.
She loves spending time with her cats and kittens. Montoya also enjoys cooking, crafts and learning new skills, which makes her an excellent student. She enjoys challenges and is open minded.
Montoya’s favorite teacher is Josiah Stutheit because he establishes positive relationships with his students and he supports Montoya in her music efforts.
April 17 - Kayla Edwards
Kayla Edwards, who is an eighth grader at Carey Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 17.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she gets exceptional grades and is kind and respectful. Edwards goes out of her way to help others and be a positive example for everyone in the Carey community.
She is a member of the Carey American Sign Language Club. Her favorite subject is art and she also enjoys showing goats at 4H.
Edwards is in honors Algebra and English. In the future she plans to attend law school.
Her favorite teacher is Pablo Franck because he explains math well and is one of the nicest teachers.
April 10 - Walker Wilson
Walker Wilson, who is a senior at South High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 10.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his outstanding leadership in ROTC, academic 4.34 GPA and extracurricular involvement. Wilson participates in ROTC, marksmanship, football, indoor and outdoor track and field, and National Honor Society. He also holds the high weightlifting record for wresting at South High.
Wilson recently enlisted in the Wyoming Army National Guard. He drills one weekend a month and plans to go to basic training after he graduates. He also plans to attend the University of Wyoming and major in engineering.
ROTC instructor Lt. Col. Christopher Johnson shared that Wilson is a mentor to his freshman cadets. Teachers say he is kind, intelligent and a driven role model to his classmates.
Wilson said he would like to honor Principal Phil Thompson because of his years of leadership service and the opportunities he provides for all students.
April 3 - Atticus Spillman
Atticus Spillman, who is a senior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 3.
He was nominated by the selection committee because he is genuine and kind. He maintains a 3.354 GPA and has been accepted to attend college in Missoula, Montana next year with his sister.
According to the selection committee, during his junior year, Spillman became ill and kept up with schoolwork while homebound. He is doing very well now and was able to come back for his senior year.
Spillman has participated in tennis and chess club. He enjoys snowboarding with his family and friends.
His teachers shared that he is a model student and he is kind, self-motivated and always prepared for class.
His favorite teacher is Amy Tighe because her lesson plans are interesting and she teaches outside the box. She is very kind and encouraging to her students.
March 27 - Zaidyn Pare
Zaidyn Pare, who is a seventh grader at Johnson Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 27.
He was nominated by the selection committee because of his dedication towards his scholarship and his never-ending positive attitude. Pare cares for his peers and school, so he was selected to help the new principal in the coming school year. He has good grades and continues to improve every quarter.
Pare helps keep school grounds clean. He has a great sense of humor.
He is conscientious about his class performance and gives 110 percent every day. He won’t let other students get him down and refuses to be outworked. He hasn’t been tardy to class yet this year.
Pare loves art and the outdoors. He wants to be an elementary teacher when he grows up.
His favorite teacher is Robin Porter because she gives him good opportunities to serve the school and she is always kind.
March 20 - Daira Ruiz-Lizama
Daira Ruiz-Lizama, who is a senior at East High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 20.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is an IB diploma candidate and pushes herself routinely. Even though Ruiz-Lizama is involved in cross country, indoor track and Interact Club, she still is successful in all her classes.
She sets a positive tone in class, asks good questions and is a role model for her classmates.
Ruiz-Lizama greets everyone with a smile and is always positive and upbeat.
Her favorite teacher is Rick Simineo because he is funny, supportive and does a great job of explaining the content.
March 13 - Kennedy Bartow
Kennedy Bartow, who is a seventh grade student at McCormick Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 13.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she gives 100% effort into every assignment. Bartow’s work on projects inspires others as she sets a good example for her classmates.
Bartow enjoys family time, listening to music, sewing and crocheting. She is inspired by her grandparents and by her mother because she is courageous and never complains.
Her role model is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which is why she wants to become a lawyer to help solve world issues.
Bartow is a member of the Junior National Honors Society, McCormick Student Senate and the co-founder of the McCormick Yarn Club.
Her favorite teacher is Amanda Morgan because she enjoys her sense of humor and said Morgan is always there for her students.
March 6 - Hannah Astorga
Hannah Astorga, who is an 11th grade student at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 6.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she has earned a 3.64 GPA and has been on honor roll every quarter.
Astorga fosters a positive attitude and is accepting of others. In the classroom she gives thoughtful answers and engages others.
She said she likes that Triumph High School has small class sizes, more support and friendliness.
After graduating she plans to pursue a career in nursing.
The selection committee said Astorga works extremely hard at school and has a part-time job.
Her favorite teacher is Leigh Ann Ojeda who is very supportive and has a professional attitude.
Feb. 27 - Lauren Heny
Lauren Heny, who is a seventh grade student at Carey Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 27.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is a dedicated, reliable, intelligent and kind student.
Heny is the Carey vice president of Future Farmers of America and enjoys showing goats in FFA & 4-H.
She is involved in basketball, swimming, volleyball, and the Cheyenne Baseball league.
Her favorite teacher is Dan Sawyer, who makes science class fun within his assignments.
Feb. 20 - Salina Hernandez
Salina Hernandez, who is a senior at South High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 20.
She was nominated by the selection committee for her outstanding academic success and contribution to South High School’s community. Hernandez has 4.8 GPA and is South’s senior class president, president of FBLA and National Honor Society vice president.
She works with students who attend the ASK program at Arp Elementary, which is an after school program that educates elementary students about other countries and cultures.
Hernandez serves the community by hosting food drives and preparing food bags.
Teachers describe her as a person who has shown tremendous growth at South High School, saying she gives 110% to her education. Hernandez is a finalist for the Daniels scholarship.
Hernandez plans to attend the University of Wyoming and major in criminal justice because she loves politics, government and helping people.
Her favorite teacher is Julie Potter because she helped her apply to colleges, prepare scholarship essays, and has helped her become the student she is today.
Feb. 13 - Cameron Moyte
Cameron Moyte, who is an 11th grade student at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 13.
She was nominated by the selection committee for setting a great example in both academics and character for the Central High community.
Moyte is enrolled in the AP Capstone Program and is on Central’s volleyball and tennis teams.
According to the selection committee, Moyte is determined and intrinsically motivated. She is good-humored, competitive, and caring. She is also able to set challenging but realistic goals.
Moyte’s favorite teacher is Joseph Barlow because he is a great teacher and his focus on students goes beyond academics to include their overall well-being.
Feb. 6 - Gracee Grisham
Gracee Grisham, who is an eighth grader at Johnson Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 6.
She was nominated by the selection committee for her academic and civic contributions. Grisham maintains a 3.8 GPA and currently serves as an officer in the National Junior Honor Society. She is representing the state of Wyoming at the LEADS conference in Washington, D.C.
Through her role on student senate, Grisham helps coordinate the climate and culture of student activities and celebrations. Members of the community consider her to be a role model for her work in local dance classes with younger children.
Grisham wants everyone to succeed even when they aren’t having the best day. She loves art and school. She has been swimming for the last 12 years and is active in volleyball, basketball, golf and plays guitar.
She has helped with organizing Greenway cleanups and has plans to raise funds for donations to the local animal shelter. She and her friends are seeking ways to help their school while its custodial crew is short staffed.
Grisham’s favorite teacher is Ken Johnson because he is supportive and a good teacher.
Jan. 30 - Madoc Wrobetz
Madoc Wrobetz, who is a senior at East High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Jan. 30.
He was nominated by the selection committee because he is a conscientious student that undergoes rigorous course work. Wrobetz is a self-starter and has a great work ethic. He is planning to be an engineer and has taken courses related to engineering.
Scott Hayes, a technical education teacher at East, said, “Madoc is a hard-working student who is very eager to please. His attention to detail is second-to-none. He is all about turning in quality work because that is a direct reflection of him. He is very polite and enjoyable to talk to. I wish I had more students like him; he is a pleasure to work with.”
Wrobetz’s favorite teacher is Heather Tyrrell because she is a great teacher and he has learned a lot from her.
Jan. 23 - Kaitlyn Meyrick
Kaitlyn Meyrick, who is an eighth grade student at McCormick Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Jan. 23.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is an academic rock star, a musician with McCormick Orchestra and a standout soccer player.
“No matter what community Kaitlyn is contributing to, she is doing it with zest, intelligence and kindness,” members of the selection committee said. “She is a remarkable combination of all three, always proud to work her hardest and be her best. She is a fantastic leader, a positive peer, and we so appreciate her.”
Meyrick likes to hang out with family and friends. She looks up to her older sister for inspiration. She enjoys orchestra, volleyball, and volunteering with her soccer club.
In the future, Meyrick wants to pursue a career in the medical field.
Her favorite teacher is Leslie Fox because she is inspirational and supportive.
Jan. 16 - Kearra "Arlo" Siler
Kearra “Arlo” Siler, who is an 11th grade student at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Jan. 16.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is a tremendously fun, respectful, and productive student. Siler is always in a good mood and is the first one to smile and take on an assigned task. She is patient, tolerant and liked by everyone.
As an example of her pro-social behavior, Siler once went above and beyond by sharing her favorite Russian salad dressing with everyone after an amusing circle conversation about the “best salad dressing.”
Siler’s favorite teacher is Doug Moratzka because he is charismatic, always in a good mood and helps push her to get her work done.
Jan. 9 - Logan Goff
Logan Goff, who is a seventh grader at Carey Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Jan. 9.
He was nominated by the selection committee because he is polite in all his interactions such as holding doors, picking up trash and helping his peers. Goff is a friend to anyone who needs one. He works hard in his classes and always follows teachers’ instructions.
Goff’s interests are video games, programming and tinkering with electronics or anything mechanical. He can often be found with a book about astrophysics and space exploration.
Goff participates in all his classes and is a leader in demonstrating safe, respectful and responsible behavior.
His favorite teacher is Bailey Lanier, who helps him do well in English.
Jan. 2 - Savannah Judkins
Savannah Judkins, who is a senior at South High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Jan. 2.
She was nominated by the selection committee for her outstanding academic success. She is ranked No. 1 in the senior class with a 4.321 GPA. The selection committee shared that Judkins is a quiet leader who works hard and is committed to excellence. Judkins is involved in the music community and has served as Master for Orchestra for the last three years. She has also been selected for All State Orchestra all four years of high school.
Judkins is an active participant in We the People, Color Guard, National Honor Society, band, jazz band, marching band and orchestra.
Outside of school she works at Hathaway and Coons Law Firm.
Judkins plans to attend college at the University Wyoming or Gonzaga University in Spokane Washington to pursue a degree in music education.
Her favorite teacher is Jaylene Willhite because she has been her musical mentor since seventh grade. Willhite has inspired her to become a music teacher.
Dec. 19 - Andrew Edwards
Andrea Edwards, who is a senior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Dec. 19.
She was nominated by the selection committee for her 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.277 weighted GPA, and is the top of her class. She takes honors and AP classes because she likes the challenge and earning college credits.
“She is a true role model for all students and is respected by those who get to know her,” the selection committee said.
Edwards helped start and grow Central’s Academic Challenge team. She is the president of both the Academic Challenge Team and the International Club. She likes to be in clubs because they expand her knowledge.
She has a love for history and is an intern at the Wyoming State Archives.
Edwards’ favorite teacher is Courtney Paul because she is easy to talk to and makes her feel comfortable and heard.
Dec. 12 - Finnegan Fournier
Finnegan Fournier, who is a seventh grader at Johnson Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Dec. 12.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his commitment to perfect attendance, 4.0 GPA while taking eighth grade honors math, advanced band, honors science; and for lettering in boys cross country.
Fournier is an avid hockey player. He also plays lacrosse and volunteers for community clean-up projects with his team.
Fournier wants to be a robotics engineer and is looking into school options such as the Naval Academy. He loves to invent and tinker.
He has a loving and supportive family, and his younger brother is a huge part of his life.
Fournier’s favorite teacher is Shelby Brown because she keeps the honors math class fun, and the work is “difficult but not boring.”
Dec. 5 - Alexis Johnson
Alexis Johnson, who is a senior at East High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Dec. 5.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she has excellent attendance, maintains a 4.0 GPA and is one of East’s top 16 students for GPA out of 305 seniors.
According to the selection committee, Johnson is great student who has high expectations for herself and is always willing to contribute her talents to help other students.
She volunteers for Friday Food Bag Foundation and participates in National Honor Society, Interact Clubs and SkillsUSA. When she is not at school or volunteering she enjoys traveling and working out at the gym.
After high school she wants to attend the University of Wyoming to study biomedical engineering and then go on to medical school. Johnson’s dream is to create artificial organs to assist with saving lives.
Her favorite teacher is Mark Seivley because he is super helpful and makes class fun.
Nov. 28 - Trey Korber Green
Trey Korber Green, who is a seventh grader at McCormick Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 28.
He was nominated by the selection committee because he is a hard worker, who remains engaged and provides excellent work.
According to the committee, Korber Green is a valuable class member who provides insightful comments during class discussions. He is also involved in Student to Student, a connection network and service group for military families.
Korber Green enjoys spending time with family, drawing, playing games, fishing and watching movies. As a military family member he would like to become a military doctor because he likes to help people.
Outside of class and family time, he enjoys playing football, golf and basketball.
His favorite teacher is Ann Christopherson because she brings a lot of fun and joy to class.
Nov. 21 - Shondra Derby
Shondra Derby, who is a senior at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 21.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she is a dedicated student. She is intelligent, happy, and a little shy.
Derby’s family is proud of her artistic talents, and she plans to pursue a career in fashion design. Her friends describe her as fun-loving and open-minded. She is known to be a good friend that supports and cares for her classmates.
Derby is a member of the National Honor Society. She also participates in the school’s annual blood draw.
Derby said her favorite teacher is Amber Martens because she is kind and patient.
Nov. 14 - Makaila Merriam
Makaila Merriam, who is an eighth grader at Carey Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 14.
She was nominated by the selection committee because she works hard and does her best in all aspects of school. Merriam’s character is outstanding as she always goes out of her way to help students and staff.
She has a 4.0 GPA and is interested in theater, art, diving and playing the violin.
According to the selection committee, Merriam’s attitude is always positive and represents the best of Carey Junior High School.
Her favorite teacher is RaeAnn Merry, whom she sees as an effective and caring math teacher.
Nov. 7 - James Hushbeck
James Hushbeck, who is a junior at South High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 7.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his outstanding academic success with 4.195 GPA and his involvement in the school community.
Hushbeck has participated in football and marching band for three years and was awarded All-State in band for his talents in playing baritone. He is loved by his peers and was named Prince of Homecoming. His teachers say he is an eloquent and thoughtful writer and considers his words before speaks.
Hushbeck has a strong work ethic and easy-going attitude and works to balance academics, athletics and activities. He has participated in South High’s leadership program and is a leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
His favorite teacher is his band teacher, Gino Hernandez, because he is easy to be around, friendly and easy to talk to.
Oct. 31 - Jose Escobedo
Jose Escobedo, who is a senior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 31.
He was nominated by the selection committee for being a hard-worker and being able to manage and prioritize his time. He has many good qualities such as being kind, helpful and polite.
According to the selection committee, Escobedo has positive energy and is quick to advocate for himself. He is well-prepared, engaged and has good morals and values along with a lot of respect for himself and peers.
Escobedo is involved in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. He moved to Cheyenne from Jackson, Wyoming, nine months ago.
His favorite teacher is Max Vega-Rodriguez because he is nice, flexible, helpful and makes learning fun.
Oct. 24 - Tremel Ray
Tremel Ray, who is an eighth grader at Johnson Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 24.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his growth over the past year and to celebrate the fantastic student he has become. He is dedicated to the motto of “1% better every day,” which helped get him where he is today.
Ray loves and cares for his brother, four sisters and his mother. He dedicates this award to his mother for her continued coaching, guidance, motivation, and sheer determination.
Ray has played basketball since he was 3. After high school, he wants to continue to play basketball and has dreamed of playing for the Kansas Jayhawks.
Ray’s favorite teacher is Dashay Hunt because he checks on him every day and motivates him to not give up and keep going.
Oct. 17 - Dakota Angeloe
Dakota Angeloe, who is a senior at East High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 17.
He was nominated by the selection committee for working hard academically. He has been involved in Air Force Junior ROTC for four years building leadership skills and is a team member of AFJROTC’s model rocketry program. He also has excellent skills in woodshop class.
ROTC Instructor Col. Christopher Johnson said, “Dakota is great young man who always works hard to wear the uniform with pride in ROTC and is always eager to learn new things.”
Angeloe serves as a teachers’ assistant in Career Counselor Aimee Steil’s office.
“He takes on each task with a genuine good nature and is positive in all his interactions with peers and adults,” Steil said.
Angeloe’s dream was to enlist in the military but due to a medical condition he is disqualified. However, he remains positive and plans to pursue a career in carpentry.
His favorite teacher is Peter Berg because he makes history fun and easy to learn. His class is engaging and full of fun activities.
Oct. 10 - Makenzy Creel
Makenzy, who is an eighth grader at McCormick Junior High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 10.
She was nominated by the selection committee for being a great student in and out of the classroom. She maintains excellent grades, has received a citizenship award and is always willing to help others. Creel also represents McCormick in extra-curricular activities such as athletics. She is an example of positivity for her peers.
Creel enjoys watching the latest action movies, listening to her favorite songs, spending time with family and friends, and playing volleyball. Her mother inspires her because of her military service and because she makes a positive impact on our country. Her career goal is to become a pediatric surgeon.
Her favorite teacher is Phil Bennett because he is a great teacher in the classroom, and she thinks “he is the best basketball coach ever.”
Oct. 3 - Beau Austin
Beau Austin, who is a senior at Triumph High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Oct. 3.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his diligence, self-direction, and hard work in the classroom. He exemplifies what it means to be a student at Triumph High School.
“He has an advanced emotional maturity that, when coupled with his intelligence, allows him to navigate successfully through his coursework,” Triumph Principal Troy Lake said.
According to the selection committee, Austin is always willing to help classmates with advice or by giving out food when they are in need. He has a positive attitude and a belief that he will improve. According to Lake, this has led to a tremendous amount of growth.
His favorite teacher is Tim Freymuth because he helped allow and encourage Austin to develop his current mindset and instill hope for the future.
Sept. 19 - Aiden Weber
Aiden Weber, who is a senior at South High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Sept. 19.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his team building and peer mentorship.
“His teachers describe him as hard working, helpful, and a positive member of the HERD,” South Assistant Principal Kerri Gentry said.
According to the selection committee, anytime he has the chance to help a teacher or classmate, Weber is the first to volunteer. He also works closely with teachers to understand class content.
Academically, Weber has participated in SkillsUSA robotics for the last three years. In 2022, he was a State Qualifier and placed 2nd, which earned him a spot to go to nationals.
His SkillsUSA coach described him as a very dedicated member, peer leader and mentor.
As an athlete, Weber has played football for the last four years and wrestled for three years. Due to an ACL injury, he may be unable to participate in wrestling matches this year.
"This summer he coordinated, planned and guided the Little Junior Bison Football Camp, where he taught young aspiring football players in the community that not only is playing football fun, but being a Bison someday is the best way to grow as a student and athlete," Gentry said.
His coaches described him as a lighthearted, supportive, and positive leader who pushes through adversity.
Weber is not only an excellent student but has also been a South High employee for the last three years as a student sweeper.
After graduation, he plans on attending college to play football and receive a degree in sports medicine.
Sept. 26 - Achyut Ramesh
Achyut Ramesh, who is an eighth grader at Carey Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Sept. 26.
He was nominated by the selection committee for his strong work ethic, exceptional grades and positivity throughout the classroom. Committee members described Ramesh as very compassionate and always lending a helping hand to his peers.
“His teachers describe him as the glue in the classroom, unifying his peers,” Carey Principal Derek Nissen said.
Ramesh likes to participate in the Special Olympics. He also enjoys bowling and is a very talented artist.
His favorite teacher is Tifaney Jenkins because he loves going to art class.
